Castworks — Resin Mix Ratios, Moulds & Cure — a premium, 100% offline digital tool by Aceplore. Runs entirely in your browser: no accounts, no subscriptions, your data never leaves your device.

A private, offline bench book for resin casting — the mix by weight and the mix by volume shown as the different mixes they actually are, mould volume through density, and pot life and pour depth treated as the limits they are. 34 tools in one, and the ratio-conflict view is the reason it exists.

34 built-in tools in one app. A resin register carrying BOTH ratios and BOTH densities, because a manufacturer may quote either; a mould register with cavities and volumes, and a volume view showing the nominal figure against a water weigh-in with the disagreement stated rather than averaged; a displacement view for what an insert removes; a resin-required view converting cavity volume to grams through the mixed density, printed and editable; ratio views by weight and by volume, and a RATIO-CONFLICT view — the reason this app exists — expressing each against the other and showing that with part A at 1.10 and part B at 0.98 g/ml a clean 2:1 by volume is 2.244898:1 by weight, so a mix made on the wrong basis may never cure; a scale-mix view, an OVERAGE view keeping the cup allowance an explicit editable line rather than folding it in, pigment at a load on the RESIN against the maximum you recorded, and pot life, exotherm and maximum pour depth treated as HAZARD LIMITS compared against the figures YOU recorded; layered pours scheduled, a cure schedule and cure log, ambient temperature kept as a record rather than a prediction, measured shrinkage against nominal, waste as mixed-against-cast, cost per cast with the mould amortised, a breakdown and a yield per kilogram; plus CSV exports, a JSON backup and a Method page.

By volume. Which is 110 g : 49 g, or 2.244898:1 by weight.

Volume. A 340 ml cavity at 1.06 g/ml needs 360.4 g.

Castworks is a planning, costing and record-keeping tool for craft and workshop work. Every figure it reports is computed by a stated formula from the measurements, prices and rates YOU enter, and every figure carries its UNIT. Grams and millilitres are never treated as interchangeable: wherever a mass becomes a volume or the reverse, the DENSITY used is printed beside the result and is yours to change. Every percentage names the quantity it is a percentage of at the point of use, because a rate on the wax is not a rate on the finished candle, a superfat is a reduction of the lye rather than an addition of oil, and a depth of shade is against the dry fibre rather than the bath. Saponification values, densities, shrinkage rates, cone references, thread factors, setts, feed rates, gauges and waste allowances are REFERENCE FIGURES that vary by supplier, batch and machine: each one is editable data, is shown beside the result it produced, and is a starting point to verify against your own supplier rather than a fact. Where a craft involves a caustic, a solvent, a kiln, a laser, a dye powder or a heat source, the hazard is stated where the calculation appears — this is a calculator and a record, not a safety authority, and it is no substitute for the manufacturer's and supplier's own safety data. It runs entirely in your browser with no network access of any kind and reports only what you recorded. It does not promise an outcome: not a successful firing, not a cured casting, not a safe or skin-safe batch, not a food-safe glaze, not a saleable piece.

Each product ships with a clear license tier. Personal covers individual, non-commercial use; Commercial covers client and commercial work; Extended adds resale and SaaS rights. Pick your tier on this page.
