A private, offline audit for icon sets — one grid, one stroke, one optical size, and a list of exactly which icons drifted and which rule each one breaks — 32 tools in one, with the sub-pixel stroke that makes small icons look soft computed rather than guessed at.

32 built-in tools in one app. Icon sets each carrying the rules they are drawn to — grid size, padding, stroke width, corner radius, terminal style and whether the set is stroked or filled; a grid view drawing the canvas, the padding and the LIVE AREA those leave, with keyline shapes — square, circle, portrait and landscape — and a keyline-fit view naming which shape each icon sits on and how far outside it strays; an icon list with a detail page setting each icon against every rule; a stroke view, a stroke audit naming icons drawn at a different weight with the difference stated, and a stroke-at-size view computing what a stroke renders at when the icon is scaled — a 2 stroke on a 24 grid rendered at 16px is 1.333333px and STRADDLES a pixel boundary, which is why small icons look soft, while at 48px it lands on a whole 4px; an optical-size view computing the stroke as a share of the canvas (8.333333%) and showing both the proportional stroke that holds that share and the whole-pixel stroke that does not, rather than asserting one is correct; a size table, corner and terminal audits, and the consistency view that runs every rule across every icon and reports BOTH the failure count and the number of distinct icons involved, because one icon breaking three rules is not three problems; breakdowns by rule and by category, a coverage view of the concepts you listed, duplicates by name and alias, a naming linter, an alias list, a density view naming icons far more complex than the set average, and a pixel-fit view; plus CSV exports, a JSON backup and a Method page stating every rule.

Live area. 24 − 2 × 2 = 20. An icon measuring 21 sits 0.5 outside on each side and is reported OUT OF BOUNDS with the overflow named. Padding at or beyond half the canvas leaves no live area at all, and Iconset says so rather than returning a negative.

Stroke at size. 16 ÷ 24 = 0.666667, so a 2 stroke renders at 1.333333px — straddling. At 48px the scale is 2 and the stroke is a whole 4px. Both are computed from your own grid and stroke rather than assumed.

The audit. 9 wrong strokes, 4 out of bounds and 3 wrong terminals is 16 failures across 14 distinct icons. Both counts are reported, because planning the work needs the icon count and reporting the state needs the failure count.

Iconset is a specification, costing and record-keeping tool for design and production work. Every figure it reports is computed by a stated formula from the sizes, prices, counts and rates YOU enter, and every figure carries its UNIT, because px, pt, mm, bytes, milliseconds and dpi are different quantities and confusing them is the classic failure in this field. Where a geometry has to close — a grid against its container, a proration, a coverage matrix — it is reconciled rather than rounded, and a disagreement is reported instead of absorbed. Where a rule comes from a published standard or an industry convention, the standard is named and its parameters are yours to change; where a figure rests on something you assumed rather than measured, it is labelled an assumption at the point of use.
