PRE-RELEASE DRAFT — not ready for sale. This description covers the implemented review workbook. Native Microsoft Excel opening, editing, save/reopen and print acceptance are pending. Final customer packages and protected delivery must be verified before this listing is published.
Know which unit can leave, and which one is still out.
KitRelay is a macro-free equipment reservations, dispatch and returns workbook for small creative studios and event teams. Give each reusable physical unit its own Asset ID, assign it to timed jobs and keep individual returns connected to the next commitment.
When a lamp comes back needing service, record that unit's return and inspection, inspect the resulting availability finding, and choose another unit for the next job. When only part of a kit comes back, the remaining issued units stay outstanding. Your records drive the checks; you still inspect the physical equipment and decide what to issue.
Follow the equipment through the whole job
- Prepare: record each unit's category, home location, optional serial number, handling notes, preparation time and turnaround time. Add timed jobs and the number of units each category requires.
- Allocate and revise: assign specific units, inspect overlapping commitments, category shortages and surplus allocations, then correct the records. Availability distinguishes a unit's current state from its availability across the selected job's full interval.
- Prepare dispatch: choose one Job ID to show its schedule, revision, requirements, packing state, findings and assigned units together. Add your organisation name and a manually entered assessment time.
- Record custody and recovery: enter actual issue and individual check-in times, the people involved, inspection results and service clearance. Overdue unreturned units, pending inspections and uncleared service returns stay visible. Cancelling a job does not erase equipment already issued.
- Handoff and reuse: use the spreadsheet application's save and print functions, keep dated copies and rebuild a job pattern with fresh IDs and dates. Optional fillable PDF field worksheets help collect dispatch and return observations for manual entry into the workbook.
Confirmed jobs reserve equipment; Planned jobs remain provisional. Preparation and turnaround extend the relevant time windows. Touching endpoints do not conflict when no buffer or actual custody extends the commitment. Checks also flag invalid references, duplicate records and incomplete return information.

Files in the review package
- KitRelay 1.0.0 XLSX workbook with eight connected sheets and original fictional North Lantern Studio examples.
- A 17-page PDF guide and practice journey, including two optional field worksheets with 34 fillable fields in total.
- Four original CSV input samples: Assets, Jobs, Requirements and Loans.
- Start-here instructions, practice notes, exact input-column guidance, version information, package manifest and the selected product-specific license.
The CSV files provide source records for manual value pasting into the documented input ranges. There is no workbook import button. The PDF worksheets do not synchronize with the XLSX.
Choose the license for your work
| Tier | Access and permitted work |
|---|---|
| Personal | One named user for their own projects, including their own business. Paid or unpaid client project work is excluded. Workbook access may not be shared. |
| Commercial | One named user for their own and client projects, including paid work. Workbook access may not be shared with another person. |
| Extended | Up to 25 named users within one organisation for its own and client projects. Private organisational access is permitted; access outside that organisation or beyond 25 people needs additional licensing. |
All tiers contain the same workbook features. You may distribute static dispatch lists, equipment reports and completed operational worksheets made from your own data within your tier's permitted projects; recipients need no KitRelay license merely to receive those static outputs. Every user of a functioning workbook or editable product copy must be covered by the purchased tier.
The workbook, formulas, guides and bundled practice material cannot be resold, sublicensed, publicly redistributed or offered as a hosted service. Extended adds users, not resale or SaaS rights. Use one editor per working copy: a multi-seat license does not add concurrent editing or merge protection. The purchased version has no required Aceplore subscription and does not promise future versions or lifetime support. Spreadsheet software is separate. Read the included license for full terms.
Requirements and working limits
Designed for desktop Microsoft Excel with calculation enabled. Native Excel version compatibility, validation controls, CSV date recognition, sorting, actual save/reopen and print/PDF output are still pending acceptance. Other spreadsheet applications have not been certified. Use a PDF viewer with form support for the optional fillable worksheets.
- Capacity per workbook: 60 assets, 30 jobs, 60 requirement rows and 120 loan/allocation rows. Extending ranges or modifying formulas may invalidate the supplied checks.
- One physical unit, one Asset ID: pooled bulk inventory is outside scope.
- One local clock: enter the assessment time manually. There is no live clock or timezone/daylight-saving conversion.
- Deliberate file handling: save, value-paste, sort and print through your spreadsheet application. Keep dated backups and confirm that pasted dates are recognised before relying on results.
- Bounded operational scope: no automatic bookings, scanning, cloud synchronization, concurrent-edit protection, macros, accounting, electronic signatures or equipment safety certification.
A clear calculation checks the records entered; it does not prove physical custody or equipment condition. Digital files only. The cover is labelled concept artwork. Workbook previews are renders of the supplied workbook, not evidence of native Excel operation or tested print output.
