31 built-in tools in one app. A roadmap per destination with a dashboard, a detail page, dated milestones and a timeline of everything you recorded; competencies carrying a weight, an area, a current level, a target and the hours logged against them, searchable, filterable by state and sortable, with a detail page each and an area roll-up; a level scale you write yourself from one of three starting rubrics, a printable rubric table, and an assess view that puts the descriptors beside the claim and asks what makes it true; coverage as competencies at or above target divided by competencies that HAVE a target, and a weighted level of Σ(level × weight) ÷ Σweight always printed with the scale top it divided by; gaps with surplus and unset kept apart, a gap × weight ranking, an hours plan whose weeks are rounded up, and a projection run at your recent logged rate as well as the rate you set; a practice log entered in minutes, with hours by competency, deliberate share, weekly hours and consistency; evidence attached to each claim, an unevidenced list and a dated self-review; plus reports, a method page carrying every formula with a worked example, eleven CSV exports and a JSON backup.

Assess & Evidence. A level is your own judgement against descriptors you wrote, saved with the date and a note. Evidence is an artifact, feedback, shipped work, an assessment someone else ran or something you taught — none of it makes a claim true, it makes it checkable, and claims with nothing attached are listed separately rather than counted as backed.

Gaps & Priority. Target minus current, and only where a target exists: a level above the target is a surplus, labelled as one and never folded into the total as a negative. The ranking multiplies the gap by the weight you assigned, so it restates your own judgement rather than offering advice.

Deliberate share. Deliberate minutes ÷ all logged minutes: 92 hours of 145 is 63.448276%. Which sessions count is decided entirely by the definition you keep in Settings, so it is a convention you adopted rather than a measurement, and editing it never re-flags a session already logged.

Ladder is a planning, scheduling and record-keeping tool for people who study, teach or sell what they know. Every figure it reports is computed by a stated formula from the times, counts, prices and thresholds YOU enter, and those thresholds are editable because they are conventions rather than laws. Where it implements a published scheme, it names the scheme and exposes its parameters: a review schedule orders your practice, it does not predict what you will remember, and a statistic computed from a small number of responses is reported with that number beside it because it cannot be read as fact. Nothing here is a guarantee of a grade, a pass, a completion, a sale or a job, and none of it is academic, financial or legal advice.
