Marks — Gradebook & Weighted Assessment — a premium, 100% offline digital tool by Aceplore. Runs entirely in your browser: no accounts, no subscriptions, your data never leaves your device.
A private, offline gradebook that does the assessment arithmetic properly — a weighted total that says what share of the marks it is out of, a sample standard deviation rather than the population one, and a curve you preview before anyone is affected by it — 31 tools in one, on your machine and nowhere else.
31 built-in tools in one app. Classes, students, assessments, a fast mark-entry grid and a weights view that reports the actual weight sum instead of quietly normalising it; weighted totals that state what share of the marks they are out of so a partly-marked class gets a fair current standing rather than a misleadingly low one, grades from an editable band scale, the scales themselves and a GPA computed over credits; a distribution histogram, descriptive statistics using the sample standard deviation with the n−1 divisor named on screen, outlier and at-risk views, a trend over time and a class comparison; missing and excused marks kept out of every statistic rather than counted as zero, a late-penalty rule you write, a drop-lowest option that recomputes the whole weighted total instead of subtracting, and a curve you preview before applying; a rubric library with criterion-level marking; a comment bank and assembled per-student feedback; plus CSV export and reports.
Weighted totals. A partly-marked class gets a fair current standing: a student at 72% on the only marked assessment stands at 72%, not at 28.8%. The app says which share of the marks the figure is out of.
Statistics. Divisor n−1, named on screen, because a class is a sample. With a single mark it reports the figure as undefined rather than printing zero — those are different statements.
Curve (preview). Every mark before and after, and the grade changes it would cause, shown as a preview. Four curve modes, none of them applied silently.

Marks is a planning, record-keeping and calculation tool for students, researchers and teaching staff. Every figure and every formatted output it produces is derived by a standard published method from what YOU enter, and the rules behind it are editable because academic conventions are set locally rather than universally. Your institution's regulations, your funder's terms and your supervisor's, journal's or examiner's requirements always take precedence over anything shown here — check them, and confirm anything that carries a consequence before you rely on it. Nothing here is a guarantee of a grade, an award, an approval or a result, and none of it is academic, financial or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your own academic and research decisions.
Each product ships with a clear license tier. Personal covers individual, non-commercial use; Commercial covers client and commercial work; Extended adds resale and SaaS rights. Pick your tier on this page.
