MemberForge is a complete, private, 100% offline operating system for a membership business — paid communities, course memberships, asset subscriptions, licences, bundles and PLR. 15 integrated modules and 39 tools in a single HTML file, plus a live 11-sheet Excel workbook. Nothing installs. No account. No member name, price or churn figure ever leaves your computer.

One over churn is wrong, and this is by how much

Almost every membership calculates lifetime as one divided by monthly churn. It is on every dashboard and in every course, and it assumes a member is exactly as likely to leave in month one as in month twenty.

In the worked example inside, churn is 5.04% a month, so the formula says a member stays 19.9 months. Built from the 320 people who have actually joined and left, the survival curve says 11.1 — forty-four per cent less. The reason is on the table: 38% of a cohort is gone by the end of month three, which is 59% of everyone ever lost. Believing the formula means happily paying to acquire members worth a good deal less than you think, every month, until the bank balance says otherwise.

The two problems hiding inside one churn number

31% of everyone who has ever left this membership never chose to. Their card expired, was declined, or was blocked by a bank. Somebody who decided to leave and somebody whose payment failed are not the same event and do not have the same fix — and at the tenure they had reached, the curve says the second group was good for another 12.3 months each. That is $10,576 a year lost to a payment problem with a technical answer, and it is the cheapest churn in any membership to reduce.

Twenty-one screens

The members — Member Register · The Retention Curve (the flagship, built month by month from the people who actually lived through each one) · Why They Leave, split into decided and payment-failed · Cohort By Cohort, because overall retention rises whenever you stop growing.

The money — MRR Movement, showing what share of everything you won was replacing what left · Plans & Tiers, including the lifetime plan priced honestly · Annual Against Monthly, with the churn rate above which two months free pays for itself · Failed Payments · What A Member Is Worth, where payback is tested against the median tenure rather than the average.

The promise — The Content Treadmill, pricing what you promised to keep producing and asking who the new work is actually for · Who Actually Shows Up, the only leading indicator in the application · The Community Load, and the share of every reply you write yourself.

Licensing — Licence Tiers & Keys · Bundles & Mega-Packs, with the cannibalisation priced and the break-even attach rate calculated · PLR & White-Label · Price Rises & Grandfathering, one of the few exact figures in the whole tool.

Eight calculators

Retention really · Annual against monthly · What dunning recovers · Pause instead of cancel · The treadmill · Payback months · Bundle cannibalisation · A price rise. Every one opens with your own figures already in it.

Twelve copy-ready pieces

The welcome that does one thing · the day-thirty check-in · the month in review · the note to somebody who has gone quiet · the card that failed · the card about to expire · the price rise · the annual renewal sent six weeks early · the cancellation flow with one question and no discount · the exit note · the win-back sent late and only once · the pause offered before the cancel.

Genuinely private. It makes no network requests of any kind. Your member data, prices and churn stay in your own browser and are never transmitted anywhere.

Honest by design. Nothing is extrapolated past the last month your data covers, so every lifetime figure is stated as a floor rather than an estimate — continuing a flat tail is the standard trick and it produces members who never leave. Money still arriving from members who look like leaving is kept in a separate at risk list rather than called recoverable. And where a figure could only be guessed at — what a better first month is worth, whether your long-standing members stay for the new work or for the room — the item is listed with nothing against it rather than a number somebody invented.

MemberForge performs arithmetic on figures you supply. It is not legal, tax, accounting or contractual advice. Subscription law — automatic-renewal notices, cancellation rights, how easy cancelling must be — and data-protection obligations are matters to take proper advice on rather than to settle from a template.

Personal covers individual, non-commercial use. Commercial covers client and commercial work. Extended adds resale and SaaS rights. Pick your tier above.
