Metalwright — Metal Weight, Sizing & Solder — a premium, 100% offline digital tool by Aceplore. Runs entirely in your browser: no accounts, no subscriptions, your data never leaves your device.

A private, offline bench book for jewellery metalwork — a ring blank measured at the neutral axis, metal weight through a density you can edit, and a solder order enforced from hottest to coolest. 34 tools in one, and it shows what the inner circumference would have cost you.

34 built-in tools in one app. A metal register with alloy, karat, DENSITY and price, with the density printed on every conversion and editable, because a karat number is not a density; sheet, wire and tube weight from dimensions, with tube subtracting the bore rather than treating the outer diameter as solid; a GAUGE view whose table is yours to edit and which NAMES the system beside every figure, since B&S and SWG give different millimetres for the same number; a stock register and a check against what a piece needs; pieces built from components with a summed weight and a cost; a RING-BLANK view — the central one — computing the blank length at the NEUTRAL AXIS as pi times the inner diameter plus the thickness, and showing the inner-circumference figure beside it so the 4.712389 mm difference is visible, because using the inside alone makes a ring a size and a half too small; ring weight, the metal a resize adds or removes, the same calculation for a bangle, and a bezel strip for a stone; a ring-size table you can edit and a consistency check across systems; a solder register by flow temperature, a JOIN ORDER enforced from hottest to coolest and a check flagging a sequence where a later join flows hotter than an earlier one — which is how the first join opens; stones and settings, scrap held and its value at your rate, a cost breakdown and a printable quote; plus CSV exports, a JSON backup and a Method page.

Ring blank. π × (17.35 + 1.5) = 59.219022 mm.

Weight. A 50×30×1 mm sterling sheet is 15.54 g.

Metalwright is a planning, costing and record-keeping tool for craft and workshop work. Every figure it reports is computed by a stated formula from the measurements, prices and rates YOU enter, and every figure carries its UNIT. Grams and millilitres are never treated as interchangeable: wherever a mass becomes a volume or the reverse, the DENSITY used is printed beside the result and is yours to change. Every percentage names the quantity it is a percentage of at the point of use, because a rate on the wax is not a rate on the finished candle, a superfat is a reduction of the lye rather than an addition of oil, and a depth of shade is against the dry fibre rather than the bath. Saponification values, densities, shrinkage rates, cone references, thread factors, setts, feed rates, gauges and waste allowances are REFERENCE FIGURES that vary by supplier, batch and machine: each one is editable data, is shown beside the result it produced, and is a starting point to verify against your own supplier rather than a fact. Where a craft involves a caustic, a solvent, a kiln, a laser, a dye powder or a heat source, the hazard is stated where the calculation appears — this is a calculator and a record, not a safety authority, and it is no substitute for the manufacturer's and supplier's own safety data. It runs entirely in your browser with no network access of any kind and reports only what you recorded. It does not promise an outcome: not a successful firing, not a cured casting, not a safe or skin-safe batch, not a food-safe glaze, not a saleable piece.

Each product ships with a clear license tier. Personal covers individual, non-commercial use; Commercial covers client and commercial work; Extended adds resale and SaaS rights. Pick your tier on this page.
