A private, offline production desk for a course — what its runtime really is once the minutes you measured are kept apart from the minutes you estimated, how many edit hours the backlog is carrying, and what a finished minute has cost — 32 tools in one, and a lesson counts as done only when it has cleared every required stage.

32 built-in tools in one app. Courses and modules with a runtime budget and a readable outline; lessons with script word counts and a script-to-runtime conversion that prints the words-per-minute rate it used beside every answer; runtime with measured and estimated seconds kept apart and the estimated share of each total stated, module runtime rolled up as a plain sum against each module’s own target, course runtime against target with a sensitivity view, and pacing against your own longest and shortest lesson limits; a pipeline board whose stages are read from dates rather than status labels, a status breakdown that names any record whose stored status disagrees with its dates, a blocked list aged from the last dated event, the take log, and retake rate by count and by minutes with the sample size printed beside it; an asset matrix over slides, demo files, handout and captions, a missing-assets list, and a captions page that counts the uncaptioned runtime; edit load in hours from an editable ratio and a schedule that divides the remaining work by the production hours you actually have; production costs by kind and cost per finished minute with its divisor named; plus CSV export of every view, a printable production report, a Method page with every formula worked out, and settings.

Script → runtime. 1,450 words at 140 words per minute is 10.357143 minutes — 621.428571 seconds — and the rate that produced it is printed beside the answer. A table beside it shows what assuming a faster or slower rate does to the same script, and a rate of zero produces no runtime at all rather than a division by zero.

Pipeline. Scripted, recorded, edited and published, each read from a date. 9 lessons out of 24 that are both recorded and edited is 37.5%: a lesson that has cleared three of four required stages contributes nothing, because it is an unfinished lesson rather than three-quarters of a finished one. Which stages are required is yours to set.

Edit load. 39.398833 finished minutes at 4 hours of editing per finished hour is 2.626589 hours. Change the ratio and every hour on the page changes with it; the outstanding figure counts only lessons recorded but not yet edited, and the Source column marks the rows whose hours came from an estimated runtime.

Studio is a planning, scheduling and record-keeping tool for people who study, teach or sell what they know. Every figure it reports is computed by a stated formula from the times, counts, prices and thresholds YOU enter, and those thresholds are editable because they are conventions rather than laws. Where it implements a published scheme, it names the scheme and exposes its parameters: a review schedule orders your practice, it does not predict what you will remember, and a statistic computed from a small number of responses is reported with that number beside it because it cannot be read as fact.
